fun.'s bold single "Some Nights," the title track of their sophomore album, definitely catches listeners' ears with its fierce beats and big sound. The group matches that feel with a music video that is like an epic mini-film.
The beautifully shot clip tells the story of three soldiers fighting in the Civil War. fun.'s lead singer Nate Ruess takes on the role of a commander in the Union contingent who is giving one heck of a pre-battle speech to his troops. A middle-aged Confederate soldier is shown fighting for the farming life he loves. On the other side of the line, a Union soldier leaves the young woman he loves to battle for the things he holds dear.
